How Habit Tracking Can Help You Achieve Your Goals
Initial Purchase
A few months ago, I purchased a calendar for my fridge. I intentionally did nothing with it. It sat there, unused. It taunted me daily, reminding me how I neglected something I had good intentions for. I had initially purchased it to organize my life. That didn’t happen…
However, It ended up getting more impactful use. I started writing down every habit I wanted to reward and track. I write down when I create video content and write articles.
This little track has helped me stay consistent in the process of creating, which ultimately leads to the goal.
In the photo below, you can see that I use simple symbols such as “x” and “o” to represent habits.

Apply It To Everything
It’s easy to imagine how you could apply this same trick to any habit you are trying to make concrete. Having a visual representation of the tasks is very rewarding, as many of the habits come with a delayed reward.
I sometimes think about how I don't want to miss the opportunity to cross the habit off the calendar, which is powerful.
Falling in love with crossing your habits off your tracker is fun. Whether eating an apple a day or getting on your treadmill, habit tracking is another tool you can use to tip the scale in your favour.
