Deleting tweets? Curating content you think others want? Trying to hack the algorithm?
Do yourself a favor and stop. Your fears around engagement are sending you down a dark path. My goal is to help guide individuals to maximize their output in Web3. Stop worrying about vanity metrics and start creating! Everyone starts at 0.
You are an asset. Your experience is unique; as is your perspective. Growing a large audience is hard, and most will not accomplish it. Not because they can’t, but because they give up too soon paired with a lack of discipline & consistency.
Format - Lean into your natural strength
Great at writing? Twitter, Medium, and Substack are phenomenal outlets. Enjoy video? Tiktok, Instagram, and YouTube (longs & shorts) are all out-preforming every other style of content. Perhaps you’re a great speaker; then podcasting and Twitter voice memos could be excellent outlets.
Be genuine
Crypto is inherently full of disingenuous bad actors; which opens an opportunity. Craft your content with genuine positive intentions and it’ll resonate strongly.
Have A Plan
Ultimately we’re building personal brands which require a strategy to accomplish. What is your unique angle? How often are you going to post? How can you repurpose content for multiple posts or platforms? Can you create an email list? Are you able to give more than take? Are you able to put in the work to make this a reality?
Set Expectations
Are you creating content to monetize? Or simply because you enjoy it? The message I want to relay ultimately is, that, standing on the sidelines and not creating content out of fear is simply destructive. Start creating content despite metrics. Set proper expectations based on how much you’re willing to put into it.
Have Fun
You must enjoy the process of the content you create. If not, you’ll never last. This principle applies to most things in life that require discipline and consistency.
I hope this sparks something inside of you to start creating content; getting you more involved in this ever-evolving space. It may just change your life.
